The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) is said to be receiving positive feedback from the public during the testing of its ability to send demand notices to taxpayers via email.

Tax payers who are property owners and have provided their email addresses have been receiving copies of their 2022 notice via email.

Deputy comptroller of the IRD with responsibility for headquarters Randy Boyk Cadet says, taxpayers who have already paid for 2022, should not be alarmed if notified.

Tax payers who have not received an email from the IRD are encouraged to contact the division or register online at tax.gov.gd to update the database with a correct email address.
