The Grenada Government has disclosed that it’s going back to the drawing Board to find a Labour Commissioner.

Valerie Thomas being the first-ever female Labour Commissioner took up the job on 3rd November last year, with a fanfare of likes on the onset.

Well, she was sent packing by the Public Service Commission this week with immediate effect, as it was officially disclosed by the Minister for Labour, Claudette Joseph, at a News Conference this morning.

When appointed last year, a release from within the halls of government noted in glowing terms that Valerie Thomas was very much qualified for the post, as is today substantiated by the Labour Minister.

But, it appears the current review by the Public Service Commission has not gone down well.
