After the many days of fun, frolic and revelry, it’s last-lap jump-up time for Kayak Mas 2023.
At midnight, at this time as per usual with carnival festivities, all the action ceases and life gets back to normal.
The festivities began with the Queen Show last Thursday, followed by the song competitions the Soca Monarch show Friday night and the Groovy and Calypso finals Sunday night; the jouvertyesterday morning and band parade later in the afternoon and street parties.
Today, it’s last lap jump-up time.
Up to Newstime, it’s safe to say that things have gone on orderly, with no reports from the Police about any violent incidents.
