In the latest covid-19 Update, we notice there have been 21 new confirmed cases diagnosed over the past 24-hour period.
This brings the current active cases to 234 and the total cumulative confirmed cases to 5,691, off which there have been 5,268 recoveries.
The 21 new cases come as a result of 270 tests conducted yesterday.
However, there have been 5 additional deaths, bringing the cumulative deaths to 189, since the virus was first detected in Grenada March last year.
The report notes that 22 persons are currently being hospitalized with the virus.
The number of persons in Grenada who are fully vaccinated in protecting themselves from the virus jumps to 28,309.
The number of persons who are partially vaccinated is 8,303.
