Grenada’s third lockdown weekend has ended, with the Nation back up and about, after being confined to a rather quiet mode of life.
It’s been another of the extreme restrictive measures designed to get a handle on the explosive spike of the Coronavirus.
For yet another weekend health teams were throughout many communities as they took the COVID vaccination and testing operations to people in their respective districts.
Volunteers once again joined the bandwagon.
Medical professionals could be seen visiting households in several areas, either testing and/or vaccinating elderly individuals, out of the need to protect senior citizens from the deadly virus.
The week-end COVID health activities were complemented by the Nation’s call to Prayer, where religious leaders were occupied in virtual sessions appealing to God for divine assistance.
Bishop Richard Hopkin of the Church of God of Prophesy, says too many people are left anticipating frustratingly the coming of Christ, instead of making use of opportunities to get closer to him.
Bishop Hopkin warns not to be unprepared for when Christ comes.
Several of the Nation’s Religious leaders participated in the Prayer vigil.
Pastor Devon Rachae, the President of the Alliance of Evangelical Churches, ended with songs of praise, in virtual broadcast throughout the Nation on the week-end in the country’s National Moment of Prayer and Pilgrimage.
