With workers gearing up for May Day celebrations Monday, the governing umbrella Worker’s organization, the Grenada Trades Union Council (GTUC), will tomorrow honour some of its fallen soldiers who have championed the cause for workers’ rights.
The TUC has planned a special wreath-laying ceremony, in acknowledgment of past presidents who have transitioned to the Great Beyond and now hold a spot at the St George’s Center Cemetery.
May Day, Monday, is expected to present a militant showcase, with the worker’s march from Grenville to their rally at Progress Park, in the normal style of portraying issues that affect the workforce.
