The prominent Good Old Democracy GOD representative Justine Crowe Mc Burnie bites the dust.
His bid for nomination to the 2018 election was rejected.
We also hear that two other individuals have withdrawn from the race.
Justine Crowe Mc Burnie, who’s been at the polls in the past decades, will not be a candidate in the upcoming elections, though his intention was to participate.
This time around he just didn’t have the requisite support and was short of his six nominees to sign his nomination form.
He was hoping to contest the St. George North West seat, where the incumbent is Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Mitchell.
Derick Sealey, the Christian Political Party leader, on the other hand, says his organization is pulling out of the race.
It’s been unable to get the 15 candidates required to contest each constituency.
Then, in Carriacou, independent Candidate Clint John, “Super Flying Flint” also took a hike, claiming it’s the Lenten season and the election in this period runs counter to his moral and spiritual conviction.
