Word from the Police is that a medical student is on a sexual crimes’ charge.
Joshua Oko-ronk-wo, a citizen of Nigeria who resides in Mt. Tout St. George, will appear at the St. George’s magistrates’ court tomorrow.
Joshua was charged with sexual intercourse with a person between the age of 13 and 16, and committing defilement of a female.
In another police matter, we hear that two unemployed men, one from Paddock, Marcus Johnson and the other, Chie Bernard of Mt. Rich who resides in Grand Anse, charged with a series of crimes, have been sent on remand.
They have been charged with 3 counts of robbery with violence, 1 count of stealing from a dwelling house, 1 stealing from a person, another, stealing a motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit robbery.
They appeared at a St. George’s magistrates’ court today and were remanded to reappear in court Tuesday.
Meantime, two men of La fortune, St. Patrick are to appear in court tomorrow on a charge of robbery with violence.
24-year-old Tevin Benjamin and 34-year-old Loyeston Frazer are alleged to have stolen a quantity of monies in the sum of 1,400 dollars on the 28th of last month in Madeys, St. Patrick.
They will appear in the Sauteurs magistrate’s court tomorrow.
