Education Minister Hon. Emmalin Pierre continues to update parents on plans for the reopening of school for the Michaelmas term, come September.
She was responding to questions posed by Opposition Leader, Tobias clement, during today’s meeting of the House of Representatives.
The education minister continues to reiterate that due to the global pandemic, the new school term will begin with a blended approach to learning that incorporates e-learning and classroom instruction.
She’s pleased the Grenada cabinet approved the reopening of school for September 7.
Given the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic and the various restrictions and guidelines in place, the education minister says it will cost the government in the region of 1.9 million dollars for the reopening.
