Wee Fm news has been reliably informed of what’s outlined as a Police related shooting in the Fontenoy area, St. George, this morning.
Police say an investigation has commenced into the incident.
We have not been fed much details, except preliminary information which shows a young man in his twenties received a single gunshot wound, during a police operation.
The operation was conducted in the early hours of today.
Reports reaching us did reveal that a group of individuals, masked in accordance with a COVID-19 guideline, set out protesting, in disgust at the incident.
Police were said to be on the scene of the protest.
What sparked the incident has not been made clear.
The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) says it’s committed to upholding an impartial and transparent investigation.
