PR – The Ministry of Agriculture, Lands and Forestry is saddened by the sudden loss of Khadijah Edwards, who died on March 29, 2021.
Edwards, during her five years of service, made immeasurable contributions to the development of Grenada’s agricultural sector. She worked along with the Ministry in implementing the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Integrated Climate Change Adaptation Strategies (ICCAS) Project, following which she moved on to the Global Environment Fund (GEF) Small Grants Programme (SGP), where she collaborated on several initiatives, supporting farmers’ organisations and other groups in implementing community-focused projects.
During her period of service, Edwards demonstrated admirable work ethics and leadership qualities that went beyond the call of service. She will be greatly missed. Edwards will be remembered for her dedication to her job, her charisma and empathy.
The Minister, Permanent Secretary, senior management team and staff of the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands and Forestry, extend deepest condolences to the family and friends of Khadijah Edwards. Her memory and contributions will forever live on for those within the agricultural sector.
