Ministry Of Agriculture Held Cannabis Consultation

As part of efforts towards the decriminalization of cannabis, the ministry of Agriculture recently held consultations with stakeholders.  

The consultation was held to seek recommendations, to propose for the amendment of the drug abuse act which is scheduled for a second reading in parliament in the coming months. 

On this score Agriculture officials engaged members of the Rastafarian community and the Grenada Trade Union Council.

The Grenada Trades Union Council was represented by President André Lewis and Bert Patterson. 

Their contribution to the discussion surrounded the social and commercial aspects of the cannabis industry.
