The ministry of Agriculture says it’s in the process of indentifying spaces to set up storage containers as part of its food security enhancement project.
The project will be funded by the World Bank to the tune of 16 million dollars.
Speaking to members of the media earlier this week Agriculture Minister, Adrian Thomas, said his ministry is looking at spaces at the Mirabeau propagating station, the MNIB at River Road the community of La Digue and the Sister Isle of Carriacou as possible sites.
Senator Thomas says the storage containers will help minimize the high level of spoilage experienced by farmers.
