The Ministry of Finance today launched what is considered a National Population and Housing Census which is conducted every 10 years to establish the demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of a country.

The launch today was held virtually taking into consideration ministry of health covid 19 safety protocols.

Head of Central Statistics in the ministry of finance Halim Brizan says information collected will be vital.

Brizan says the census is critical to plan for, and implement, economic and social development projects.

Also present at the launch this morning was Finance minister Gregory Bowen, who tells Grenadians it’s their civic duty to participate in this census.
