The vaccination of frontline workers in Grenada’s battle against COVID-19 is continuing on a larger scale this week.

Illustration of this comes from Health Authorities.

REPORT:

They were at the previously-announced Raddison Grenada Beach resort Convention Centre, St. George’s, issuing vaccines to a vast number of frontline workers today.

A release from the Ministry of Health issued last Saturday did indicate that vaccinations would take place from 9 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon each day until Friday.

Among the frontline workers include law enforcement officers, port and dock workers, airport workers, hotel employees and certified taxi operators.

Individuals to be vaccinated must present a valid company photo ID or an official ID, inclusive of NIS, a driver’s license or passport.

Access to the Covid-19 vaccination station will only be allowed from the left side of the building closest to the parking lot.

The Ministry of Health advises that all Covid-19 Health and safety protocols must be observed for the duration of the process and that it will be conducted on a “first come, first serve” basis.

We hear that hundreds of frontline and hospitality sector workers turned out to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccines today.
