In the buildup to International Women’s Day March 8, the Ministry of Social and Community Development, Housing and Gender Affairs will begin a series of events in recognition of women.
They are geared at sensitizing the public on the importance of women’s inclusion in society.
The first of the exercises will be an opening ceremony on Saturday at the Bruce Street Mall.
This is according to Petra Lousion, Public Relations Officer in the Ministry of Social and Community Development, Housing and Gender Affairs.
Lousion says the International Women’s Day observance in Grenada will take place on March 7 and 8 with a Symposium at the Radisson Beach resort.
