The Housing Authority of Grenada has pledged to cover insurance expenses for the first 10 years for occupants in the Chinese-constructed/Grenada Government low-income housing project in Corinth St. David.
This was explained by Manager of the Housing Authority of Grenada, Jason Williams, last Friday at a ceremony consisting the hand-over of keys by the Chinese Ambassador, Wei Hongtian.
Additionally, Williams says they’ll oversee security and maintenance for the first three years.
Williams outlined the inspections schedule for the other sites, as the process of handing over keys to home owners continues.
It’s reported that over 150 Grenadians have reached out to financial institutions seeking assistance to purchase units.
60 individuals have so far qualified and are pre-approved while 30 have completed inspections.
