On Saturday 23rd April, 2022, officers attached to the Drug Squad Unit intercepted a white RAV4 along the Mont Toute public road and conducted a search that led to the discovery of two hundred and ninety grams of cocaine.
As a result of this, Ralph Blackman, 47 years, Unemployed of Westerhall, St. David, and Ezekiel Bartholomew, 34 years, Supervisor of Woburn, St. George were arrested and charged for Trafficking in a Controlled Drug.
Ralph was granted bail in the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) with one surety while Ezekiel was granted bail in the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) with one surety. Both men are scheduled to appear at the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court on May 31st, 2022.
Another operation was conducted on Tuesday 26th April 2022, at Telescope, St. Andrew at the home of Terrance Harry, 38 years, Mechanic, Ashford Charles, 21 years, Fisherman and Tyhira Sanderson, 18 years, Unemployed, twenty-two (22) packets of Cannabis were discovered. The Cannabis weighed a total of twenty-eight (28) pounds and carries an estimated street value of sixty-three thousand, five hundred and four dollars ($63,504.00).
Terrance, Ashford, and Tyhira were subsequently arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Drug. Terrance and Tyhira were granted bail in the sum of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00) with two sureties, while Ashford was granted bail in the sum of forty thousand dollars ($40,000.00) with two sureties.
They are scheduled to appear at Grenville Magistrate’s Court on 5th July 2022.
Further, in another operation conducted by officers attached to the Grenville Police Station on Tuesday 27th April, 2022, at Soubise, St. Andrew two hundred and eighty (208) pounds of Cannabis were confiscated.
Three persons were detained in connection with this discovery and are in police custody assisting with investigations.
