The Media Workers Association of Grenada (MWAG), joins the Association of Caribbean Media Workers (ACM), to express growing concern over what’s deemed as the ongoing violence in Haiti against media practitioners.
MWAG calls for an end to all types of violence in Haiti.
It sends its condolences to the families of media colleagues, John Wesley Amady and Wilguens Louissaint.
Both lost their lives to violence in the line of duty.
MWAG says it stands with ACM in the calls to strengthen the protection of Haitian journalists, which also reflects the protection of the fourth estate, the voice of the Haitian people.
ACM of which MWAG is an affiliate, wants regional and international organizations to press for action to address the relevant concerns.
