The Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture is calling all long-distance runners in schools and clubs to participate in the Blue Bubble’s sponsored National Cross-Country Championship.
The final preliminary race will be held on Saturday 22nd 2022 in St George’s. The route for Saturday’s race is as follows: Tanteen – Lowthers Lane – Mt Jaloux – Defaux – Springs – Tanteen.
Registration for Saturday’s race is on location at the start point in Tanteen, however registration for the finals which is scheduled to be held on November 4th must be done online at TrackieReg.com before October 31st, 2022.
Each school or club is required to register four persons a team for the finals. The first and second preliminary were held in St Andrew and St David respectfully.
Top three places in the St Andrew race were as follows:
Female
1st place Leonna Williams of St Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School (SAASS)
2nd place Anya Francis of Anglican High School (AHS)
3rd Place- Janeiah Williams of St Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School (SAASS)
Male
1st place – Livron Thorne of Ace Club took first place in the male category
2nd place – Miguel Cape of St Andrews Anglican Secondary School (SAASS) and 3rd place – Shakeem Williams of South City Rising Stars
St. David’s Race

The National Cross-Country Championship is organized by the Ministry of Education Youth Sports and Culture to build the endurance capacity of athletes and to prepare student athletes for their annual sports meets.
