The Founders Of NDC, the National Democratic Congress, are reported to have been honoured in what’s termed a Post Convention celebration held last week-end.
The event was said to be attended by members of the new and outgoing party executive, and also included many party stalwarts, long standing members, and supporters.
Addressing the recognition engagement were former leader, Joan Purcell and the newly-elected leader of the organization, Dikon Mitchell.
Among other awardees recognized were former Prime Ministers, George Brizan, whose family was in attendance and Tillman Thomas.
NDC Leader, Dickon Mitchell, noted that they saw it important to honor the founders and stalwarts for their unwavering commitment to the principles and ideals of the NDC in what were difficult and trying times.
He says they stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before.
One-time Leader, Joan Purcell, recognizes the new executive of the organization as the next generation of leaders, indicating that she’ll be warring for the upkeep of
the party’s principles of good governance, transparency, accountability, and competence.
