We have got information of a new executive guiding the Willie Redhead Foundation.
In view of recent election, Maria Davies has replaced Reverend Tim Byam as President, while James Findlay remains as Vice President and Cecilia Charles continues as Treasurer.
Other incoming officers include Eileen Langaigne (Secretary) and Eugenia O’Neal, (Public Relations Officer).
The new President says in retiring and making Grenada her permanent home she sought to find an area that she would be able to pursue her interest in history and culture and the preservation of Grenada’s rich heritage.
And, she’s honoured to have been elected President of the Willie Redhead Foundation.
Among her goals for the term of her presidency is to seek out and collaborate with all stakeholders in the preservation of the history and heritage of Grenada.
Maria Davies speaks of her intention in engaging young people so that they can get involved in learning about the country’s heritage and choose activities to preserve it.
She went further to say that she has embarked on a membership recruitment programme.
The Willie Redhead Foundation was founded in 1994 by Norris Mitchell to further the work of conservation and advocacy for Grenada’s built heritage that was begun by writer and activist, Willie Redhead.
