A batch of teachers new to the profession were recently engaged in a one-day training with a focus on effective lesson planning.
The 33 teachers all attached to district 5 (primary and secondary schools in St. George) entered the profession in 2023 and 2024.
The training was aimed at providing the teachers with the adequate knowledge to produce well-rounded students.
District Education Officer, Tessa Mc Quilkin, says the training is mandatory.
New to teaching for only a few months and attached to the St. Louis Girls RC School, Shania David, says she has gained a wealth of knowledge to help her carry out her duties.
