Following the selection of an NNP caretaker for St. George North East, mid-January, the ruling political party is taking its search for a caretaker for the South St. George constituency.
The party says it’s exercising its constitutional requirement by voting to select a caretaker for the constituency.
Delegates have been invited to an engagement in this regard, which will be held at the Grenada Trade Centre, beginning 6 this evening.
This is being given priority, since there’s the inclination that the current holder of the post of MP has expressed his desire to bow out of the political race.
Observers have also been invited to witness the selection process.
The delegates and observers, an NNP statement says, will comprise of members of the Party from within the constituency.
The party is to make an official statement when the selection process is completed.
It says all necessary COVID-19 protocols are to be followed.
