Five (5) residents of Non Pariel, in St. Mark was arrested and charged by Officers attached to the Drug Squad Unit, for several drug-related offences in relation to a seizure of four hundred and eighty-four (484) pounds of Marijuana last Saturday.
The seized Marijuana carries an estimated street value of one million, ninety-seven thousand, seven hundred and twelve dollars ($1,097,712.00).
Estone Young was charged for Importation of a Controlled Drug and Trafficking a Controlled Drug; Errol Richards charged for Trafficking a Controlled Drug; Zoyd Clement, Waleed John and Brent Patrick were charged for Possession and Handling of a Controlled Drug.
They were charged yesterday, and are expected to make their first court appearance at the Gouyave Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
