Senator Norlan cox, attached in Government circles as the Minister of Infrastructure Development, Public Utilities, Transport and Implementation, last evening received the nod from delegates in South St. George to be the NNP caretaker in that constituency.
The delegates were engaged in a voting process where Cox received the rating unopposed.
They regarded as the best choice after MP Nikolas Steele, who has won the elections twice for the ruling New National Party.
With Steele expressing sentiments of bowing out of the political race, the delegates last evening brought Cox to the forefront to take up the caretakership of St. George South.
Cox accepted the decision.
Cox says there’s work to be done and the work will be done together with the people and is committed to the task ahead.
