The Northern Parish Of St. Patrick’s will come alive tomorrow with activities to commemorate St. Patrick’s Day.

St. Patrick’s Day, or the Feast of St. Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March, the traditional death date of St. Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.

The day commemorates St. Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland, and celebrates the heritage and culture of the Irish in general.

Persons living and working in the parish are being encouraged to wear something green.

Wee FM News touched base with the Chairperson of SPOD Christine Lewis, who says that activities will kick of tomorrow with a church service and street procession.

Lewis listed the remainder of activities that will take place on the weekend.
