The Grenada Cooperative Nutmeg Association (GCNA) tells nutmeg farmers in the Parish of St. John that purchases at the Gouyave Processing Station will be on hold until further notice.

This it says is due to the increased number of Covid-19 cases in recent days.

GCNA says it’s taking preventive action to secure the Association’s main processing plant for export and reduce the chances of having to temporarily close operations.

The GCNA noted that there was a situation at the processing plant a few months ago when there was a spike of Covid-19 cases.

Meantime, GCNA is advising everyone to please adhere to all the COVID-19 Protocols for their protection, as well as for family and friends and the Nation at large.
