Friday 26th November, 2021 is Budget Day.
Finance Minister, Gregory Bowen, is to present the Government’s 2022 Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure.
It will be his second such delivery, since attaining the position of Finance Minister.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, only a limited number of representatives from the business community, social partners, the diplomatic corps and other stakeholder groups will be accommodated at the Parliament House.
The Ministry of Finance is said to be currently making final preparations for the presentation Friday.
The 2022 Budget, the Ministry of Finance says will be strategic in bringing the country out of the pandemic, focusing primarily on “protecting lives, safeguarding livelihoods and investing in growth and development.
It falls in accordance with the theme for this year’s budget presentation.
The 2022 Budget presentation will begin 10 o’clock Friday morning.
