The battle continues for the implementation of the Octagonal Front of Package warning label.
Last week we told you that Grenada has joined the Caricom Regional Organization for Standards and Quality (CROSQ) in the vote for/or against the implementation.
The Octagonal Front of Package warning label forms part of the revision of a standard aimed at promoting healthier food choices.
With November being observed as World Diabetes Month, nutritionist for the parish of St. George with the Grenada Food and Nutrition Council, Akim Williams, speaks on how the front of labeling package will help children make educated decisions on what they eat.
Williams says the Grenada Food and Nutrition Council is in full support of the Front of Package warning label.
Williams says Grenada as well other Caribbean countries are battling with a high death rate and disability due to Non Communicable Diseases.
