OCTOBER 19TH 2023 TO BE DECLARED A NATIONAL HOLIDAY AS PART OF THE 50TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

October 19 will be declared a Public holiday!

This pronouncement was made by Prime Minister Hon. Dickon Mitchell, at a Press conference this morning.

Prime Minister Mitchell says, October 19 is a significant day in our history, and will form part of the yearlong celebration marking the country’s 50th anniversary of independence.

Prime Minister Mitchell says the naming of our 1st National Heroes will also be a part of this 50th celebration.
