The OECS commission has embarked on a multi-million-dollar drive in support of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, grappling with the woes caused by the La Soufreire volcanic eruption.
It’s being promoted that its goal is to accumulate 100 million US dollars in 2 weeks.
It’s calling on regional inhabitants and people the World over to make a pledge to help build back the SVG economy, and in such quest all amounts to accomplish the objective are accepted.
Pledges are invited from individuals and corporations.
The Commission says funds raised via its campaign will be directly transferred to the people of the volcanic-stricken island.
The drive is dubbed, “The Stronger Together Campaign:
OECS Emergency Response for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines”.
Financial donations can be made online.
The OECS Commission speaks of its SpurrOpen platform.
For large amounts, it’s recommending the use of Wire Transfer.
