The latest Covid report, published yesterday, indicates another citizen has met their fate due to the virus.
It brings to 231, the number of deaths to date, as a result of COVID-19, since it was first detected here two years ago.
The report shows there are 6 persons currently being hospitalized, 5 who are moderately ill and 1 critical.
Out of some 57 tests conducted over the report period, 5 cases have been as identified as being positive, an 8.9% positivity rate, with the active cases climbing to 261 and the total confirmed cases moving to 17,948.
21 new recoveries have been reported, increasing the total amount of recoveries to 17,456.
The vaccinated population is still in the range of 34%, with 38,440 persons having received two doses of vaccine.
The partially vaccinated population is recorded at 5,230.
The Ministry of Health reports shows that to date 6,693 booster doses have been administered.
