Grenada remembers Paul Slinger, a one-time Minister of Tourism in the GULP era and who was appointed to the Senate in 1976.
Paul Slinger passed away last Friday at age 82, after a long illness.
He died at his home in St. Paul’s.
As a one-time sportsman and particularly a swimmer, Slinger introduced the Carenage-to-Grand Anse Cross-Harbour swim race, the Hash House Harriers, and the Grenada Triathlon.
Looking at his bio, Slinger was gentle and unfailingly hospitable; attributes his family says earned him great love and affection.
In one of his most profound statements, Paul says there’s no place on earth like Grenada.
