OPPOSITION LEADER TAKES ISSUE WITH THE GOVERNMENT FOR THE FIRING OF WORKERS IN POOR AND MARGINALIZED SOCIETY GROUPINGS

Opposition Leader, Former Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Mitchell, takes issue with the government over the dismissal of hundreds of workers from their jobs.

He was speaking in an exclusive programme last evening, his first manner of expression for the New Year on the state of the country and the Government’s handling of affairs, carried live on social media platforms.

Dr. Mitchell sees the firing of workers from their jobs as a measure affecting the poor and marginalized in the society.

Dr. Mitchell criticizes the Government’s action as being “callous”, and not showing any empathy.
