The Grenada Parliament will re-open for business Friday after a brief period of prorogation.
It brings into focus the presentation of the Throne Speech by the Governor General, Her Excellency Dame Cecile La Grenade.
She will outline the Government’s plans, policies and programmes for the ensuing year.
Expectation is that emphasis will be placed on strengthening the health, education and Agriculture sectors, as well as development in rural areas.
Much of the plans are likely to hinge on climate change action.
The ceremony will be a joint sitting accommodating the members of the Lower and Upper Houses…(constituency Representatives and Senators).
Opening of the new Parliamentary session will be ceremonial, associated with the fanfare of the formalities.
