Decadent behavioral influences are said to be creating a plethora of problems on the Grenadian landscape, especially as they concern the evident generational shift from tradition.

This is contained in the viewpoint of Pastor Stanford Simon of the St. George’s Baptiste Church, in an interview with Wee Fm News.

The essence of discussion falls in line with societal changes that have deviated from the normal course things and are today causing major social problems, some of which are promulgated by deviant action.

The direction taken by institutions need to be dealt with seriously.

Pastor Simon believes the Nation’s churches need to be more engaged in cementing the country’s social fabric.

Pastor Simon says sports and recreation usually form the catalyst for socialization and today there’s social media, which among other benefits, have also generated its own problems within societies.

But, in all this, the church, he says, has to carry out its responsibility.

Pastor Simon says it’s pretty timely that the Church play a greater role in the scheme of things that could somewhat help in reversing decadent trends in the society.
