The new price adjustment on petroleum products shows an increase in the cost of fuel at the pumps.
This is according to a release by the Energy division in the Ministry of Finance.
Effective tomorrow Gasoline on the mainland will increase by $3.81 cents up from $11.19. It will now be sold at $15.00.
Diesel, will be sold at $15.84 cents up from $12.82 cents while Kerosene will be sold at $13.38 cents.
The L.P.G (Cooking Gas) 20lb Cylinder remains at $40.00 dollars, while the 100lb Cylinder will see an increase of 10 dollars and 70 cents up from $283.15 to $293.85 cents.
Bulk will be sold at $3.00 dollars per pound up from $2.90 cents.
In Carriacou, like on the mainland, Gasoline will undergo an increase it will now be sold at $15.00 up from $11.37 cents, while Diesel will be sold at $15.84.
Kerosene will be sold at $13.38 cents, 43 cents more.
In Petit Martinique, Gasoline will also seen an increase from 11dollars and 37 cents to $12.06 cents, Diesel will be sold at $12.96 and Kerosene $13.38 cents.
The 20lb Cylinder of cooking gas in Carriacou and Petit Martinique remains at $49.00 the 100lb Cylinder has moved from $306.15 to $316.85 cents, $10.70 cents more.
Bulk will be sold at $3.00 cents per pound.
According to the price release effective January 18, 2023, a petrol tax of $3.50 will be charged per imperial gallon of gasoline and diesel.
The new retail prices are computed based on the average of actual C.I.F. rates for the period December 13, 2022, to January 10, 2023.
Petroleum products are price-controlled goods and therefore no retailer shall vary the prices stated
