Pilot Agriculture Land Bank Project To Launch In May

Aimed at supporting food security, the Government of Grenada through the Agriculture Ministry will soon launch its “Pilot Agriculture Land Bank Project”.

The project will seek to expand and increase agricultural production on the island.

Engaging media personnel at another in the series of Government’s weekly Post Cabinet Briefings, Agriculture Minister Peter David notes the food import bill needs to be addressed.

David says Agriculture and Food security are critical. 

The Agriculture Minister reiterates that continuous training of individuals will be of paramount importance.  

Also giving support to the project was Chief Agricultural Officer Trevor Thompson.  

Thompson says the smooth execution of the project is vital for the industry.
