The annual Carriacou Parang Festival 2023 gets underway in earnest this weekend under the theme: “Ensuring the string stays alive in our Culture”.
Organizers of this year’s event say the enthusiasm is building as plans are set for the staging of the Festival.
The traditional culture of the African Big Drum, Quadrille Dancing, Shakespeare Mas, among others, are designed to emphasize the rich tradition to revitalize and sustain the dying culture on the island.
In keeping with its objective, the festival gets into high gear Friday and continues through to Sunday.
PRO of the Carriacou Parang Festival Committee, Silvia Logan, says the 2023 event promises to be a memorable one.
