Police Commissioner, Edvin Martin, makes a plea for Grenadians to be on their good behaviour, adhering to protocols established to safeguard people’s lives from the coronavirus.
He says while efforts so far in staving off any massive outbreak in Grenada, has been fairly commendable, the fight is not over, since the risks still remains high, on account of worldly developments surrounding the pandemic.
Commissioner Martin says Grenada is still on the lookout and every precaution must be taken as a means of being vigilant and there’s no reason to drop one’s guard, only to become complacent.
He’s been making the observation lately of pockets of carnival-like activities geared at attracting large gatherings, even in the face that measures have been taken to suspend carnival this year, as Grenada continues to monitor the COVID situation.
The general view is that there’s no reason for taking chances to put the country at risk.
On this score, Commissioner Martin held audience with popular media personalities yesterday as he pleads for greater collaboration and partnership in the maintenance of good order.
