Commissioner Of Police, Edvin Martin, clears the air on last Sunday night’s activity at the Cow Pen in St. Andrew, where there was a rather large gathering at the facility, which caused raised eyebrows surrounding permission for events and adherence to COVID protocols.

The multitude at the event has been the talking point on social media and questions being asked about permissions being granted for events, which run counter to COVID protocols.

COP Martin was speaking to reporters today at another in the weekly series of the Government’s Post Cabinet Briefings.

Commissioner Martin says approval was granted for the Cow Pen event for 60 persons.

The Commissioner of Police further noted that violations as it relates to the event will be investigated.

The Police Commissioner says given recent activities, there are some slight adjustments to operations and approach treating with issues, including permissions.

The Police speak of tightening the screws.
