Commissioner of police, Edvin Martin, says successes achieved and challenges conquered in policing this year were through the dedicated efforts of officers and a growing partnership with the community.
He expressed this sentiment in his 2022 Christmas message to the Nation.
Looking at the performance of the RGPF, Commissioner Martin noted that the solving rate of crimes has been much better than that of last year.
He has, however, shown concern over the rate of violent and sexual crimes.
Commissioner Martin makes a plea for citizens to have a watchful eye of unwarranted circumstances within their respective communities and work in collaboration with the RGPF to keep the Nation safe.

He says police officers, rural constables, wardens and civilian staff have been resilient and tenacious, exhibiting true grit in response to many challenges.
The police commissioner admits being thankful for their selfless service to the Nation.
