Police Investigate Fire at Cocoa Plantation

Police are investigating an early morning fire that occurred at the Douglaston Estate, St. John.

Police received information about a bush fire but on arrival at the scene encountered the Cocoa Boucan and Watchman’s house engulfed in fire.

Both structures were completely destroyed along with a quantity of cocoa beans belonging to the Grenada Cocoa Association.

Fire tenders from St. George, Gouyave and Sauteurs attended to the fire.
