Police were called to the scene of an incident at Grand Anse Beach, St. George,on Friday 16thSeptember, 2022, from which a 65 year old male of Red Gate, St.David died.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased who had gone swimming with friends, encountered difficulties while in the water. With assistance from the lifeguards, he was brought ashore but was unresponsive.
He was subsequently pronounced dead.
A postmortem will be conducted.
Police investigations continue.
