Workers under the Grenada Technical and Allied Workers Union (TAWU) banner withheld their labour for a brief moment at the Port today, disgruntled over the manner in which a fellow port worker was handled by a member of the RGPF.
TAWU’s President André Lewis in dialogue with members of the media this afternoon says the manner in which this was carried out is of grave concern to the union.
He indicated that the handling of matters like these was already discussed with the ministry of labour.
Lewis says the union is concerned about the damage to the reputation of the worker that may arise out of this situation.
