Prime Minister Dr. The Rt. Honorable Keith Mitchell and Foreign Affairs Minister, Peter David, are due out of the State today destined for the United Kingdom.
They are to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit, where delegates will be looking to forge a common future.Participants will be discussing the idea of reshaping the organization to be responsive to global challenges and deliver a more prosperous, secure, and sustainable future for citizens, of member territories, particularly young people.
The meeting runs through to April 18.
While in London Dr. Mitchell and Minister David will engage Grenadians in a town Hall meeting from 7pm Friday UK time.
It will be at the Bloomsbury Hotel where they discuss issues relative to the development of Grenada.
Meantime, in his first speech as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador His Royal Highness Prince Harry said young people will have access to new scholarships to study abroad at a wide range of universities across the commonwealth.
It’s a new initiative that will offer study opportunities that were not previously available.
It’s aimed at widening collaboration across the Co0mmonwealth.
The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships will seek to provide life-changing experiences for young leaders with the energy and talent to make a difference in their home countries and beyond.
