Grenada’s Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell, delivered a speech this afternoon at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, currently taking place in New York, USA.
In his address, Prime Minister Mitchell emphasized that in this global environment where, citizens continue to grapple with challenges such as hunger, poverty, gender-based violence, and climate-related disasters, are seen as issues that stand as formidable obstacles in the path toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Prime Minister Mitchell spoke of Grenada’s continued role in the United Nations as the country looks forward to celebrating its 50th anniversary of independence next year.
Prime Minister Mitchell highlighted one of the areas that Grenada has been meeting its SDG 4 goals for the betterment of its citizens.
Prime Minister Mitchell says global leaders must continue to press on to attain the SDG goals they have set out to achieve.
