Talk in the air surfaces one more time surrounding the removal of 150 dollars out of the seed package for beneficiaries, as was experienced in the latest disbursement.
The Grenada Government is contending it was a temporary measure set by the previous Government which was extended and ended in December.
The removal is reported to have taken beneficiaries by surprise, since there was no official announcement about the deduction.
At the Post Cabinet Briefing today, Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell referred to the 2022 Budget statement of former Finance Minister, Gregory Bowen, as it relates to the nature of the policy at the time of the 2022 Budget presentation.
Prime Minister Mitchell explained that the additional money was part of the economic stimulus package on a temporary basis.
