Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell, relinquishes the portfolio of Minister for Finance, exchanging it for Dennis Cornwall’s public utilities, infrastructure, civil aviation and transportation.
He made the announcement at a News Conference this morning, noting that it’s already official, but is Acting as Finance in the absence of Mr. Cornwall who is out of State and is to return Friday.
The Ministry of Finance will now be under Mr. Cornwall’s control.
On another topic given prominence, the Prime Minister noted that the temporary capping of freight rates has come to an end and will not be continued.
